NGC 2997 = ESO 434-035 = MCG -05-23-012 = UGCA 181 = PGC 27978 09 45 38.6 -31 11 25 V = 9.4; Size 8.9x6.8; SB = 13.7; PA = 110d 13.1": fairly bright, very large, elongated 3:2 ~E-W, 4.5'x3.0', sharply concentrated with a bright core, no nucleus. A mag 13 star is at the SW edge of the halo 2.0' from center. | |||
