NGC 4013 = UGC 06963 = MCG +07-25-009 = CGCG 215-010 = PGC 37691 11 58 31.7 +43 56 48 V = 11.2; Size 5.2x1.0; SB = 12.9; PA = 66d 17.5": moderately bright, fairly large edge-on 5:1 WSW-ENE, 3.5'x0.7'. A mag 12 star is superimposed very close to the actual center masquerading as a bright stellar nucleus (similar to M108). Bulges towards center but weakly concentrated, fades towards tips. On the DSS the star is superimposed on the thin equatorial dust lane which was not seen. | |||
